Dealing to people under 18

Recommended Posts

1 of my dealers has stopped selling to any1 under the age of 18 due to her seeing on the news that if a dealer is caught selling to someone under the age of 18 they will get 9 years prison instantly :P

sounds a bit bullshit to me but if its true i do kinda agree with it but i also disagree....like its good and all that it will be harder for school kids to obtain BUT if u cant have something doesnt that tend to make u want it more?

im no genius by any means but i sure as hell could come up with better techniques to get the youth of australia off smokin pot and although the task is impossible to complete, i dont think 9 years in gaol is acceptable for dealing to some1 who is say 16 and been smokin up for ages....not like its gonna kill them and if it does it was their choice to take the drug :P

I dont agree with children under 18 smoking anyways. it slows down their development etc.

but I would rather have a Teen smoking pot that going out drinking.

If you smoke too much pot you get lazy, unsociable and happy.(whats wrong with that?)

The way I see it is they will turn to whatever else is available.

I for one would like to see teens being told that MJ is better for them than alcohol, speed ees etc..

If MJ is made harder for Teens then they will just take whatever else is on offer be it Amps, EES, alcohol etc. and that shit does fuck you up.

thesed idiots that make these laws just dont think.

what i wanna see is a group of 100 or more scientists working together to find out as much about cannabis as they can and then have like a weekly broadcast on the news about any results they find...

Im quite sure everyone that doesnt smoke or like mj would get sick of it after a while but fuck em :whistling it wouldnt worry me at all if they started every show with the bad then went to the good or vice versa cuz some1 is bound to say they are encouraging mj use anyway :thumbdown but as long as they showed both sides of the story without leaving any of the finer details out such as it is much safer than alcohol, then im sure australia would be alot wiser from the experience......

im also certain that if something like this happened, the govt. would invest 5x as much into their scare campain :P

I agree that kids under the age of 18 shouldnt smoke, drink or take anything (unless medically perscribed) that impares their state of mind...so hypocritical since i have been drinking since about 12 and started smoking ciggies at 14 and took up smokin mj like 4 months after that :P ....but i have grown up quite a fair bit since then (i think :( ) and now rarely drink, have cut down on the ciggies heaps and spend my free time smokin up with my girlfriend :smoke keeps me in a happy mood and out of trouble :thumbsup

Personally the govt. did a 180 if what i heard was right...easiest sollution would be to sell mj like smokes and instead of being 18-25 for the age checking limits, they should make it law that they must check ID for every sale and there are 2 main reasons for this...

1) they can prevent most sales to persons under the age of 18, especially if they make fines for supplying a person like $100k + 5 years in gaol minimum....harsh but i sure as hell wouldnt score for any1 bar myself or a mate if i was gonna be let in on the chop :smoke

2) the govt. would be able to track how much pot is being used in every area of australia + know who is buying it.....there are many things that these satistics could be helpfull for but im too stoned and have typed too much as is :(

I volunteer my services as a test subject.

As for being tracked, fuck that. When i smoked cigs i would never accept having to give my name to buy them. Sure i could chow ID but if someone was taking names i would have made sure my name was covered on the ID.

I agree it should be as legal as tobaco or alcohol, a controlled substance that you have to be over 18 to buy and available from tobacanists, liquor outlets or pubs.

Can you imagine how few fights there would be if you could buy a doob at the pub.

if u had the option of paying say $5 per gram but u had to show ID would you? i know i sure as hell would provided it was decent gear :smoke

governments are nosey cunts, they are afraid that the public will rebel if their secrets got out so they hide the truth from us and expect us to tell them everything about our lives down to the smallest detail....enquire about your police record if u end up in a cop shop and there will be a nasty page all the stuff u havent been done for like suspected dealing, growing, etc...just shit they know is true but cannot prove....im quite sure you will be shocked at whats in there if u have had dealing with the police before :P

hell in cuba, the USA is holding many people in POW camps (simular but not sure of the name) and to make things worse they have had to get a court order preventing them from eavesdropping in on the conversations between the prisoners and their lawyers....IMHO if any govt. in the world, given the chance would even tap into our minds so that we cant even contemplate anything :P

i gotta agree that i would be hesitant at first with handing over my ID to get my details taken down when buying pot but as long as it was just for statistic purposes with no names just how much we bought, when we did, where we did, etc....wouldnt want anything leading back to me :smoke

I agree it should be as legal as tobaco or alcohol, a controlled substance that you have to be over 18 to buy and available from tobacanists, liquor outlets or pubs.

although this would be tops if it were to happen in australia, growing it would still be illegal as the govt. would try and milk every cent it could....i would imagine the penalties for selling mj would greatly increase as well :thumbdown What i would prefer is total legalisation and have companies fighting 1 another over market dominance :thumbsup prices would drop lower than a grannies tits and the quality would have to greatly increase :thumbsup wont happen in my lifetime though :(

The Bill will be introduced when Parliament resumes with our brand new Government:

The Australian Government will introduce a new Serious Drug Offences Bill when Parliament resumes next month to target several major areas of commercial participation in the illicit drug trade, the Minister for Justice and Customs, Senator Chris Ellison, said today.

Addressing the 8th National Chemical Diversion Congress in Melbourne, Senator Ellison said the Law and Justice Legislation Amendment (Serious Drug Offences and Other Measures) Bill 2004 would be introduced to Parliament to amend the Criminal Code to cover trafficking, import and export, manufacturing (including cultivation) and possession involving controlled drugs, controlled precursors and controlled plants.

"Importantly, this Bill will include specific offences with tough penalties to crack down on people who involve children in the illicit drug trade, including 15 years jail for supplying any quantity of controlled drug to a child," Senator Ellison said.

"Under this legislation, those who involve children in trafficking a commercial quantity of illicit drugs will be punished with a maximum penalty of life imprisonment, and people who expose children to drug or precursor manufacture will get a maximum penalty of nine years jail," he said.

That doesn't sound like decriminalisation, it sounds like a big fuckin crack down.

Once again we're painted as criminals but now the pigs have more power to weild.

and "no minimum amount" offences attracting a maximum 10 years jail;

That sounds real good... not!

I haven't ever heard of this. Sounds kind of crazy actually. Because where i am from (Sydney) kids under 18 are ALLOWED to carry more pot on them than adults and escape with warnings for amounts upto an ounce. I DID read that in the news.

people who involve children in the illicit drug trade, including 15 years jail for supplying any quantity of controlled drug to a child

so that's 15 years for supplying drugs to kids.

people who expose children to drug or precursor manufacture will get a maximum penalty of nine years jail," he said.

--would that mean if you had a couple ov plants growing, & you have kids in the house, that if you get busted you're looking at a 9 year stretch--even before they've worked out how much, or what they've busted you with??
