totally recommend using EM-1 in your sip rez

& covering the top soil with a thick layer of mulch

or like earthboxes & greensmart pots , use a plastic

cover as mulch

Yeah itchy seen those, I meant a bit larger so I use same materials I would in large scale bed. Make sure I can work it properly. Will probably scrap the idea for something simpler, like a solar powered water pump or something haha

depending on how you work with sips

ya dont really need a media that will hold water per se

as the soil is covered to stop evaporation & has

a constant water rez the soil wicks from , a good wicking

media might be a better way to put it & for the record that

could be a coco or peat based media , even soiless = probiotic hydroponics

 

in sips root systems stay quite wet , to the point if you tried

to top water & keep the soil at the same moisture level

as a sip you'd kill the plant from over watering , via the top
