Humidity

Recommended Posts

It's not ideal, but I've been putting up with those numbers, and lower, for years and they seem to grow okay.  Only major problem it's caused me is in mid to late flower under HPS lights, they still bulk up nicely etc, but the shade leaves start suffering from that point on which will lead to a bit less yield.  CMH lighting overcame that issue for me, so it seems to be the heat and intensity of HPS at low humidity not being a good mix.  CO2 might also be helpful in that situation, but I never got around to trying it.  Running a Silica additive does seem to help a bit.

Good on ya hashy.

Not sure what medicalgrower using, but i'm running 800w LED

Plants only 18 days, don't appear any dramas with low humidity, one good thing with LED's you can spray bit water around without running 4 extinguisher.

Earlier in year was constant 50-55% RH, not sure why drastic drop

I'm running 4 315watts mates.....

Room temp 20 to 25

Water temp 19

RDWC s with four pots running a 10 outlet air pump for there air.

4500lph water pump sucking water into my Rez...

2 150mm fans one sucking air in and 1 out..

Ec was 1 entill I just added go green now it's 1.3. Little worried this is too high?

3 out of the 4 plants look s like crap and have done the day after I got the clones....yesterday I found spider mites so Iv treated them for that ATM...,but Iv got a feeling something else is going on with them

Any questions welcomed need to resolve this issue

1.3 EC does seem a bit excessive for 2 week olds.

So thats bout 650-700 ppm?

Man, just got mine on half seasol, thats in coco though and from seed.

Bit concerned bout humidity though. 19% is bit sus

Sorry can't help with RDWC's

Around 800 pm I think...yeah I thought it might be abut high.....they were little well rooted clones when I got them 1.5 weeks ago...

19 degrees is my water temp not my humidity,,,,my humidity sits around 30% light on, lights of it's fine at %60....

plant will still grow , she'll keep growing under most adverse conditions

best thing your doing to help solve probs is start with environment , once that's dialed in you can pretty much eliminate

your environment as a factor in any probs

i believe your plant is working harder at those humidity levels , putting more effort in dealing with that humidity

& not as much into growth or flowering or whatever

having a good VPD Vapor pressure deficit , puts the plant in a sweet spot for growth , in short getting the plumbing

efficient between plant & soil

i found it a little hard to get my head around cos the numbers they're talking about would & does freak growers out

the idea of having 24c & 60-80% humidity in flower makes most growers say , F Off ,

these are commercial greenhouse strategies if you want to do some reading , google that & VPD
