Nextgen ballasts

Recommended Posts

Yep thats it, they also have a store front on the gold coast. I rang the supplier and had a chat with them and apparently they are the original supplier (?) of the ballast. I asked about failure rate and returns and he said none have been returned in the last 3 years.... grain of salt I guess but it is tempting.

Hi all

Just want some feedback on the nextgen ballasts. Ive read quite a few mixed reports ranging from great to shit. Seems issues are mostly with the switchable 400/600w tho. Anyone have any experience with the nextgens?

don't know much about them but i'm looking at the nanolux CMH , worth the look i reckon

i like the DTU $150 & RTU $40 controller , no more timers , all control from a phone app

you need 1 DTU & for each ballast you need a RTU up to 999 RTU's per DTU

if you choose a ballast that has a built in dimmer , all do except the CMH , you can set

sunrise & sunset mode , you start the cycle on 50% power , after 15min power increase

to 75% , after 30min the ballast go's to full power & the same at the end of the cycle = fade in , fade out
