Cookie, Ahh i thought u were referring to my mates mars grow in post 277, i have only ran one grow with the Cree cob's the veg was fantastic and super fast but i only got small buds, I;m thinking about going DWC or Aeroponics next run but i haven't decided i just think coco in a pot is a lot of maintenance hand watering daily later in the plants life and i love that video i linked above 1lb 1 plant

 

so far looking into the Nutriefield DWC buckets, Hydro Experts aeroponics system and possibly a simple Nutrifield recirculating system

if you get them incredible bulks running in rdwc your gunna get massive buds after a good-short vegetation

Carn yeah im seriously thinking going dwc with using a chiller for the circulation maybe one plant to keep it simple

If you think coco is time consuming wait till you get the DWC up and running. Changing +40L of water every week, Checking ph/nute levels every day and adjusting if needed, root rot if temps get out of whack or contaminated water etc... Not trying to stir the pot just giving my experience Great growth but a real pain in the arse if its not dialled in 100%

I grew in DWC a long time ago check my gallery i have some decent plants in there and i've used it right thru the middle of summer, as for water temps i am trying to get my hands on a chiller trying to find a cheap one or as cheap as possible i think i seen some guys using fridges on youtube i will have to do more reasearch, as for ph if i go DWC i will be using ph stable nutrients probably the sensi range

 

heres the only pics i have of my DWC days i did grow a few monsters in these pots a year or two before one was huge sativa bitch hard to control she was massive another indica i grew about 5 foot tall but all these plants pictured got stolen when someone broke into the house and took everything i hope the *#%@^ burn them selfs on the hot 1000w HPS that they took as well

All good gaz, just passing on that I found it more labour intensive then any other method I tried   As for the chiller see if you can get an old office or school chilled drinking fountain. All the best with the next grow.

i recon once you set em up and you dial em in, and you know exactly what amount of what to add to how many litres at what week of flower.... then its all good.

 

you would come up w/ an easy to follow simple procedure to get thru watering everyday.

 

seem to remember how hard rdwc was.... then about 5 weeks later i was working away for an hr a day w/o even realizing it, sometimes leaving the room unattended for 2-3 days at a time, no problem.

 

only reason i check rooms regular is for leaks from the reservoir or pots, those hoses are tricky indeed. be sure to use cable ties .

Thanks for the tip on the chillers i will keep an eye out, is there a way of using one of those fountain chillers all assembled without gutting it out?

if you had one i cant see y not.

set it up to a thermostat in the water.

simple design, comes apart and bolts together real simple.

 

retrofit anything you need to .

if its money you dont wan to waste and you have that water fountain sitting there, go it.
