Wanting ideas on a small quietish Oscillating Fan up to 8"

Recommended Posts

I have been using the Growlush oscillating 180mm clip fans but I go through 3 or so each grow (use 6). They either stop working when in use or when I turn them off at the end of a grow they don't start again.

So, I've been googling and searching and googling some more and so far I have squat to show for it...except lots that are super expensive, noisy or more growlush shit.

Any recommendations for a good quiet oscillating fan out there fellow herbers?

i use box fans from coles , pretty cheap , can take up lill less space , can hang them pretty easy

fairly quite , they are a fan & will make some noise , not having to power to high will help but still

not that bad even on high , $25 last i looked , i have 3 of these , i use one & if i think i need more

air i add the second , if one needs a clean i swap it out & clean when i can , hopefully B4 i need

to swap out another one

like most fans running 24/7 they will gather dust on the blades & on the back of the front oscillating wheel ,

every now & then build up of that dust will come free & spit out on ya buds if fans aren't kept clean

depends on how dusty your environment is to how often you need to clean them

got some pics of one with the front off for cleaning if ya wanna look at dirty fan porn

I use 150mm computer fans... At present I have 4 x 150mm with bearings  240v  3 of these are over 20 years old  lights on use and I have 2 others 150mm 12v low volume 24/7 . I have replaced 2 in 20+ years due to one being warn out and noisy and the other the paint had warn off and the casting cracked ..

$25 each .

Thanks for the replies. Tried your suggestions of Bunnings, Kmart, Coles and all the other stores but being winter not the best time to look for fans, nil stock  :(
Traviss what computer fans do you use? I used the Cooler Master Megaflow 200mm fans for a couple of years but the wind strength is not good enough to get into the tight fat buds which would result in mould starting in some, hence my upgrade to bigger fans.

Still searching, any other suggestions?
