Keeping clones alive

Recommended Posts

Hi all. I'm an outdoor grower, so no lights to use for clones. Is there a way to take cuttings for clones before flowering (say Jan/feb), and then keep them alive until the following Spring summer?

you'll wanna search " Air Layering " plant propagation

in short you wrap / attach small amount of soil to a branch , cover , tie off & let the branch root B4 you cut

Wow! Never heard of that. I did read about putting clones in fridge in water....but was not even sure it was possible to keep clones from flowering outdoors without artificial light.

air laying sorts your cuts out without needing all the cloning gear

but to stop them from flowering once rooted & outdoor light shortens

you need lite , not much light , outdoor flurro / cfl porch light works fine

I cut my clones early flowering Feb, and kept them under a led house light bulb and window sill for 3 months until I could buy my indoor gear, so do that till spring. Top pic white rhino what I cloned off ,middle pic under the led light and bottom pic then three months later but taken last week
