First Setup

Recommended Posts

"thought i would add my bit in here  <_< the most easiest hyroponic system to use would have to be the "auto pots" out of my 9 years of growing this system is the most simplest to operate"

Even though I've got bugger all experiance in growing, just reading about the problems people have with setups, I'd have to agree with this.

I'm in the second week of flower of my first grow and using an autopot hydropak setup. It was only about $80-$90 and includes two pots, smart valve, 30lt tank, perlite and general purpose nutes (good for veg). Really easy to setup, and it's all been going fantastic :thumbsup. I didn't use a HPS for veg though, used one of those 130 watt grow fluros for $67, and a few compact fluros down low. Just bought a 400 watt HPS for flower last week it was $160 for the kit brand new, and some dutch master flowering nutes. Go most of my stuff at http://users.bigpond.net.au/nutriflo/

I'm growing 4 northern girl clones, two are in the autopot setup, been hand watering the other two.

yeah autopots would be one of the easiest setups ... if you are deciding to use hydro i would remmomend buying a truncheon ( it measures the strength of your nutrient mix ) And also i saw they were selling the auto pot ( plastic pot only ) at the $2 dolla shop awhile bak and i saw it again in the BIG W catalogue just this week for $11 each ... at the hydro shop it cost $25 each ( for watrering rings and all ) and i recon if your on a tight budget go to big w and buy the pots then visit ur hydro shop and buy connectors grommets etc .. over all it would only cost you maximum $15 to setup each auto pot ... im thinking about doing auto pots.

Most of the members here build their own watering rings so that would only cost you an extra $15 and a 50L sep reservoir wont cost u much. ( a seperate reservior is a diffrent container that you mix all your nutrients in and if your using recirculating hydro setups your nutes recirculate into here ). There are two kinds of hydro setups, if you didnt already know they are recirculating & flood and drain.

The main things i would concentrate on buying would be the light, ventilation, truncheon and air pump ... once ya got all these select what kinda hydro setup you want or that would sit your situation.

~ peace out

Lucian: do you go telling KMart that you need scissors for mulling up? Its the same case, jst because a hydroponics shop owner knows everyone is buying it for weed anyway doesnt mean you have to mention it. I talk about it a fair bit with mine, but for good reason.. After getting more experience now there is no need to go there anymore. I get everything from the net and to my safe addy, alot better and easier.
