Can I use these types of lights?

Thanks merlin these are wired and running and yes they are shop down lights and yes they are wired properly , thankyou for the explanation as obviously wiring is not my forte

Don't operate it without the glass cover in place something to do with ultra violet rays and plus the bulb looks as if its not rated for open use so it must be contained inside the housing in case the bulb ruptures, the lamps that are safe to run outside of a housing have the inner bulb wound with wire in case it explodes or they have a twin jacket over the inner bulb

Thanks Gazza as merlin explained I had someone look them over and seems they will get me through the veg , I lost everything when I went in the can[emoji41] I will be starting new grow diary in next week or two so I let u all know if I sink or swim[emoji41]. Personally I think it will be fine , this Ain't my first rodeo and surely not my last cheers.

Those lights will be ok to use plenty of people use down light DE MH for aquariums
