Coco to perlite ratio

Recommended Posts

70/30 coco/perlite is the standard mix, but it's not a hard and fast rule.  And if you wanted to do something like the multi feed per day technique (or whatever it's called), something more like 50/50 could work better, maybe????

I've always been happy with 70/30, light enough with good fluid retention, plus saves mucking around with too much messy perlite.

I'm hoping to feed twice maybe 3 times per day the at the most so would be about 11pm, 8am and 6pm thereabouts

I'd probably go 50/50 if I was doing that, but you'd be better off waiting for feedback from someone who grows that way.  I use Tropf Blumat drippers in coco, or occassionally run to waste letting the pots dry between feeds.  I've seen people get great results with the multi feed thing, but don't have the time for it, or the waste, so I'm happy to lose a few grams instead.

Just looked those tropf blumat drippers up jeez they're a bit flash so basically I could have a 20l res with nutes and they would automatically water my plants as they need it?

Thanks mate
