I came across an old tin that was found in the attic of a home in Goulburn in 1997...and collected by a mate

and is clear proof that it should be on the shelf with the strepsil tins.

Just like the doctor ordered.. :)from the local confectionary company

As a collector of tins, I love it.

Seems they were first made in 1864. Victory cough drops are still made today (minus the canna, morphine and chloroform) by Ernest Jackson & Co Ltd under the name 'Victory V Lozenges'.

OK I didnt know that ...I presume the tin is probably between 1920-1950 era?

 

It's hilarious having POISON on the tin.... and then written.... if taken correctly it's harmless
