i have heard of the dead chook in the hole b4 planting,

but what about a dead mullet from my bucket o'plant food

can i just burry him abouut 5in under the root ball???

IMO dont do it, it needs be broken downa and composted before putting any where near your plants.

Start a compose heaps at home and collect all of your green waste and cheuck it in there.

it also a good way to get rid of leaf and stalks etc.

ive used dead fish , works a treat for me!!!!!

Hi mr. novice when i grew outdoors i use to throw a dead chook in the bottom of my hole, but u need to leave it for at least 6 weeks before u plant anything on top of it, u will grow good plants useing a dead chook in ya hole and u can use fish as well but i found the chook was better. One of my mate's little girl's had a pet duck.

My mate had a very vicious German Shepard.

I went to see him one time and asked where the duck was as i could not see it.

He pointed up to the plant which we were growing at the time.

I thought the duck was resting under the shade of the plant.Uh-uh!

Kinda-sorta wrong i was,i focused and then saw the duck's feet sticking out of the ground !

The dog had kileed the duck and my mate stuck it in the root zone of the plant !

Healthiest plant i have ever seen,but unfortunately never got to smoke it,as we got ripped off! :angry:
