Hermie after week 4

Recommended Posts

Gravity i don't think many of us have grown out a hermi however i use to grow from bagseed and often came across females that spat banana's, i can't recall if i had any 100% hermi's its been a long time and my memory has gone to shit but i do remember growing some really nice bud that actually spat banana's late in flower i continued to grow on and she only produced one or two seeds from memory

but if your plant hemi's early on in flowering usually within the first 2 to 3 weeks and u keep the plant u will fuck up a lot of other growers in your area or close by lol it may come back to bite u in the ass as I'm a firm believer in karma :D

Gazza thanks for the reply.

Another way of looking at it is that it could be someone in my neighborhood that screwed up my plant.

My plant turned hermy at about 4 weeks and it's 8 weeks into flowering now. There are some seeds on some colas but they are very few. Mostly all in the bottom of the plant.

There is a good 25% brown pistils on every cola. The trichomes are all still long and clear and quantity is increasing. I have been pulling every ball i see and believe you me. I have been relentless doing it twice everyday for the last 4 weeks. Only pulling out maybe 6 per day but they are nowhere near ready to pop so i guess i am winning i think?

I am planning on using the entire plant to make butter. But in my ither grow i have some Northern lights for personal smoke.

Not sure about Sativa dominant plants snd maturity times and i doubt i will have enough experience with them to harvest at the right time.

My flying pants have clocked a lot of miles though.

I understand Sativas and sativa hybrid are harvested differently too so this makes my predicament even more slippery.

Harvest early get a good high but not gor long

Harvest too late thc decreases and get buzz for a while.

WTF..

Very confused.

what kinda hermie ?

if its jsut a couple little 'nana' shaped one, Just spray em w/ water and pick em off.

the water renders the pollen unviable.

they usually do not grow back.

even clones of the plant generally don't grow them either.

if there are lots of them or they grow back after the procedure, generally a dud.

Yea I don't think hermies finish any earlier.

*a seeded bud will finish earlier and grow less though, is this what you were asking about ?

Thanks Carnage.

I guess? it answered my question?

Still a bit unsure about how long i should leave it.

There are no seeds or balls or nana's from 3/4 of the plant upwards. Still looks normal.

I'm contemplating letting it go until week 11.

I'll keep an eye on the trichomes and wait for them to get fat. I doubt they will change colour like an Indica or Indica dominant.
