Yellowish lime green leaves. New growth leaves.

Ph is way too high .you only said soil for your medium ... is it earth ?

No mention of EC .

Yep looks like nute lock out. soil/potting mix should have ph 6.5 - 6.8, 7 at a pinch. If it is dirt I would get some good quality potting mix eg Searles premium potting mix or Yates potting mix and transplant. Also ad a bit of perlite to the mix (available in small bags at Bunnings).

Less is better when growing the herb. Half nutes to start with. Use about three or four waterings then water with plain ph adjusted H2O then back with the nutes slowly increasing to full strength over time. Canna seems to work better with their own potting mix. I use off the shelf Nitrosol when using other brand potting mixes. They love it. Oh and Cannazym for the roots used rarely.
