Are my buds overdry?

Recommended Posts

Knowing when to jar the buds for curing can b tricky.

Not sure if any one has talked about Boveda packs they are magic for keeping stored bud just rite for storage.

They are good if you buds are a lil dry they will rehydrate them to the rite levels for storage, you just leave it in the jar the buds are being stored in...

Hey James,

Some people have stated "...you veg for 'this long' and then you flower for 'that long'..." And that is WRONG. Every grow is different and every growers setup is different, so to be having a set time for each stage cannot be correct, logically it has to be different. Most commercial growers will say "flowering takes 8weeks" and sure you can get buds within 8wks, but the longer you leave them in 12/12 the better the quality.

Now I grow SCROG, if I took the recommendation of '3 weeks grow' my grow space would only be 1/3 full, I grow for more like 4-5weeks to fill my SCROG net. As for the 8wk flower, yea sure you can harvest at 8wks, BUT if you leave it longer you'll find that the buds swell internally and the smoke matures even more. I go 12/12 for 12weeks and the increased maturity I well worth it, the resulting smoke is exquisite (and so is the hash lol )

So, IMO, 3week veg and 8wk flower would be OK for a commercial SOG (sea of green) but if you want quality, cut the plant numbers back, spread the growth out and flower for longer. The increase in quality is well worth it.
