Sorta my thought, but they were blaming canna smoking for a whole range of serious problems in the community.  Now I know isolated communities can develop problems different to the wider community, but I struggled to see how canna could be blamed for the things they were on about.  Wish I could remember what the program was.

 

My main thought though, was why aren't a bunch of bored out of work budding entrepeneurs growing some nice sati's up there in the tropics with prices like that.  1 big sati could net you $100,000, that's gotta be a temptation that would be hard to resist

The problem is with all small communities, they are insulated from the outside. Anything can be used to the extreme, grog was to the extreme, so they blame grog, now canna to the extreme, so now they blame canna. Much less violence with canna tho.
