Another fn Hermie lol

Recommended Posts

what you will find in the offspring of a supposed hermie cross are the same sensitivities to environmental stresses that the hermie mother had, and in alot of cases as the grow environment/feeding schedule etc doesnt change from grow to grow you will see more hermies pop up leaving you with the impression that it passed on its hermie genes. which it likely didnt. True hermaphroditism is very rare in cannabis sativa/indica... Many plants can change their sex during times of increased/increasing 'environmental pressures' ....to propogate the species for survival.... Edited by _Puff_Tough_

what cultivar is it youre growing though ? Have you grown it in your region before, successfully? Some cultivars have slightly different nutritional requirements; look at the bluberry cultivars for instance. Though cannabis is highly adaptive to its environment sometimes a strain is conditioned over time to thrive in an environment that has a totally unique soil composition... Some strains are finnicky and hermie easy. Doesnt mean theyre genetically what are called 'true hermaphrodites'. But yeah, interesting..... Youre not all making the same mistakes lol? Showing them too much love with either a soil medium that is too 'hot' or perhaps a nutrient feed regime that isnt suited to the cultivar you are growing, soil composition may be shitty, who knows. Kushs for instance are known to thrive on a slightly different npk ratio than what the majority of cultivars do when grown for instance with the old lucas formula nutrients or similiar.

what a jolly ramble
