Okay, so I know this is a really stupid question but I've never cloned before and I want to give it a go. Do I have to have a mother plant or can I clone off the clones I've just put in my cupboard? If so how many times can I clone off clones? I've read all the tutorials so I kind of know the basics but any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

A couple of tips-

Always take twice as many clones as you actually need, this works against any deaths and also you can select the best plants and kill the rest.

Always soak the rockwool cubes overnight in water set to 5.5 ph.

Make sure that you spray them with nice clean fresh tap water, they dont need any ferts until they have roots.

but basics are no you dont need a mother plant, you just continue to take clones from your plants in veg.

Their is very little degrading from one clone to the next, my normal strain was around 10 years old of clones from clones.

Some strains like G13 are only available as clones, god knows how old.

:thumbsup :reallyexcited:

Hey mate, here's a question I answered earlier on cloning:cloning Q I'm too damn lazy to type it all out again! ::D: :P ;) But it sounds as though you know the basics.

Now, as for cloning from clones, yes you can do it no worries for awhile, but in some strains eventually it can weaken the strain. It's better to maybe take some clones and pick one or two of the best out for a mum. You just need to keep her somewhere under a compact flouro to veg, and they are pretty low maintenance.
