Best fertiliser for flower

Recommended Posts

Hey peacefrog,

I'd develop a feeding schedule. First make a diary and writ down everything you give or do to the plant. Makes a great log to look over if you run into problems.

All through veg you would of been feeding her a good blend of NPK. The nitrogen is usually higher during the vegetation stage therefore as you come into flower give her one last feeding of your veg feed then afterwards you'll want to raise the phosphorus (P) Now you can do this as a slow release with a granular form but use very lightly because it's concentrated. I'd recommend using a good mix of blood and bone to rake into the top soil.

Once you've applied the phosphorus you'll then be looking at raising the Potassium (K). Ask your local garden guru and he'll put you in the right direction. Sulphate of potash is what you're after.

If watering in, can be done weekly.

Now I'm not saying that nitrogen is taken out, it's just reduced quite a bit.

I'd also recommend feeding the girls one tbsp of molasses once a week with every 10lts of h2O.

Remember less is best!

You'll want to keep an eye out for mites and other pests so you can tackle them right away before they get established. You don't want a flowering plant with mites on it!

Try to read your plant and you'll get to know how it reacts to what you give it.

Good luck and happy growing.
