How to get ph down in my overflow

Hi guys . Just wondering if i lower my ph in the feed will that give me a lower reading in the overflow . Atm overflow reading is 7.8 wich means its to much in the soil yer . Plants already been flushed and flushed . I keep my ph around 5.8 in the feed but what i wanna know is "what will it do if i try correct the ph in the overflow by under compensate thro feed say make it about 4.8 ph " could this help or do damage..... thanks peeps

yeh feed a lower ph till your overflow is corrected .might take a little trial and error.

 

Always flush with ph corrected water .

 

What's your medium you said soil .if it's a soil classed medium you will probably want a ph of 6.5 .

Once it's stabilised keep on checking the run off ,your medium may have a tendacy to raise the ph

Serrated edge i think im getting a hold of the ph in the overflow . Got it down to 6.5 over the last few feeds with a lower ph in feed . Looking better already . Cheers . Now i just keep a check on it . But do i put the feed back upto 5.8 or leave it at 4.8 ph to keep the right ph in the soil. If ya get what im saying

thats the trial and error part........if the plant is picking up then maybe continue what you've done ,but when you feed make sure to get plenty of run off .over time you may need to make more corrections , but keep an eye on the runoff ph.

 

Make sure you let her dry out a bit before each feed- watering.
