Gday mate, I can send you a money order/bank deposit $50 for the shade first thing Monday morning, 9:30am Sydney time. Im in Sydney too, and if you would let me know postage costs etc, Ill add it to the $50. I just sold my light, and now I have my whole grow under 2x18w fluoros, for a week its gonna be I think, they are 2 weeks into flowering now, so I need to get another light asap

Nath , its only the shade no light is included , you could have got a bargain with the 600w that went for $50, but then again a 600w would have been too big for you, aircooled hood is still going for $50(without fans or light)

Hi Gazza, i was going to use the buy it now on the 600w ballast, but it wasnt there.. im not really into the whole auctioning thing, I just want to buy a light People always outbid at the last second on ebay.

 

Why is a 600w too big for me? With the hood, all I need is ballast and globe, right? It comes with the globe holder and cord to the ballast? Can u save the shade for me or what, I have the cash here and im in west sydney, but mail is fine. .I can deposit cash first thing Monday morning. I need to know if you will, because if not Ill just buy a complete kit, but if I can get that.. Ill start looking around for just a ballast only.

 

Also these shades, for example, could I temporarily use a 250 or 400w ballast and globe in it? Or is 600w needed?

Yes, it could be permanent too if you want, as long as you don't go higher than the recommended wattage for the reflector you shouldn't have any problems.

nat safest way for u and me to buy/sell is to do it through ebay, you never know u could have won the 600Watter for $51? but i think it would be to hot for someone with a setup for fluros even with an aircooled hood the 600W is still very INTENSE! i dont want to be held responsable for burning down your house

heres what i have used in the aircooled hood 175mh,250hps,400hps,600hps and a 400mh can also be used in it with clearance (glass-bulb) its rated up to a 600W

 

chev ill leave feedback now if girlfriend hasnt already first parcel is bloody heavy for whats in it second will be sent in the next 3 hours

Ok i wont worry about it then.. my grow area is 6'x6'x8', and i have been running HID my whole grow, the fluoros are temporary for the past 2 days now. Ill just buy a kit sometime, good luck in selling the hood.

Far out Nath, 6x6x8? Man I used to run several HIDs in a grow that very size. A couple 400s and a 600. No air cooled hoods either, just exhaust fans out the top.

Actually, I'm running a 600 in a 3 x 3 cupboard right now, with a fair bit of air though.

Been only growing in a portion of that though.. just under one 400w light. Thats why i want a 600 or 1kw.. also, Gazza, its been under a 400w hps, but i sold that light on thursday, thats why i only have the fluoros now. Im thinking even doing a vertical style grow with a 600w, maybe get another 400w too for the last four weeks of flower..
