Sativa flowering phase.

I know pure Sativa has a much longer flowering phase than their little cousin Indica but I was wondering at which point in the Sativas is the time in flowering extended, for example does a Sativa spend more time in pre flowering, mid flowering, late flowering/ripening or just more time all together to fully mature?

I find sativas take longer to actually show flowers once put into 12/12

but yea, they just take more time in every aspect of flowering
