could be a male plant that identifies itself as a female... heard a few plants out in the yard arguing this this morning... then again could have been the neighbors.

There is so much killing of males poor buggers never get a chance let it seed a plant and get the seed even if it is a cross it may turn out to be a mind blowing end product and you also have your self more seeds no need to pay for them

Second one is female, but why the purple stem? u should really raise the pots off the pavers too cold temps can cause the stems to go purple but than again we are having a stinking hot summer

it hasn't been too cold I don't know if that would affect it, what else can cause this?

Take a clipping from the bottom of the plant and sit it in a cup of water 12 hours light 12 dark to force flowering I'm doing that now to be sure
