T5 for veg hps for flowering. First grow.

G'day all.

Been researching for my first grow. I have some northern lights female auto flower seeds. Want to keep in quite simple.

I plan on starting with one plant only. Germinate in a jiffy and straight into 12l gro bag of canna terra professional.

I have 4 x 2ft 55w T5s 6500k that I planned on keeping nice and close to the plant during the veg stage that should only take a couple of wks. Just using a couple of desk fans for ventilation as they shouldn't get too warm.

When the plant starts flowering I planned on changing the bulbs to 2700k ones and hanging vertically for side lighting. Looking at hanging over the top a 250 watt hps in a cool tube with reflector with 5-6 inch fan and ducting out. Will have the desk fans there also.

This will all be in a closet 160cm H x 60 cm W x 160 cm L.

Does anyone think I'll run into problems with this setup or can I do it better? I've done a lot of reading but it can get quite confusing as everyone has a different opinion.

Thanks for reading.

Hey Markus. I'm currently using only one T5 twin 55w globes for seedling/clones and for semi veg and finding the T5 pretty good, i only have 3 plants in a small tent 80 x 45 x 80.

But if you have 4 T5's in that space it should be good for veg for sure but I would go a 400w hps cool tube in that space for later.

Good Luck..

OMD.

Markus the thing about wardrobes or cupboards is the timber heats up and acts like a heater, i grew a beautiful Northern Lights in a old tall boy draws i used a 175w MH and it was unbelievably hot in there i just couldn't control the warmth from the lamp radiating heat to the wood if u can try buy a grow tent the canvas doesn't heat up as much as chip board or plywood
