Hi-par 600w

Is anyone using a hi-par 600w? Would like to get some feedback from them. Do they put out much heat and how big a area will it cover. I'm undecided on either a 315w or 600w. It's for a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2m

I haven't really looked into either lights but i remember seeing a person using the 315w over a 1.2x1.2m area and was happy, why would u waste extra 285watts? i wonder if they put out the heat of a regular 600w?

I gave away my Hi Par 600W and replaced with 1 x 315W LEC.  I couldn't be happier, absolutely no incentive to go back to HPS.  From memory, yields were in the vicinity of 1.5g per Watt without much time or effort put into the grow.

 

I've since bought my 3rd 315W LEC and am very much looking forward to running two of them in my 1.2 x 1.2 tent.  

 

I think the footprint of the 315W is probably better suited to 1m x 1m, but experimenting with different shades might change that.

 

I love that I'm using less electricity and that the decreased heat output allowed me to grow through 40 degree heat without issue.  Don't get me wrong, they still put out heat, just nowhere near as much as the 600W HPS.
