Is fresh chook poop too strong?

I have a chicken farm not far away and they sell bags of the poop for $2.50, is it too strong to go around the plant base straight from the chooks poop chute ?

Plants can handle it if they're big enough. Chook shit is fast release nitrogen, whereas sheep and cow breaks down much slower

chook poo must be aged as it will burn the roots of whatever plant... I have read 1-2months under black tarp 

rabbit poo does not need to be aged and will not burn (fyi)

but should ask yourself some questions about the chicken farm , organic ?

are they farming chicken meat or eggs , free range or caged , the poo " Could " be a very diff product 

from diff types of farming methods , less chance of nasties with organic free range IMHO , but not always easy to find

i learned with animal bi-products that theyre real strong you can water em down if desperate.

but the good stuff all needs to break down as the others have stated above.

 

under the tarp, on a large piece of plastic, water it down and mix it up once every week or 2.

only reason i would use plastic is to prevent the goodness from draining away into the soil right where it lay.

 

i looked up 'subcool's super soil mix' on google back in 2012 to get a good look and idea at it

Apart from going up and inspecting the farm there would be no way of knowing what is in the poop

 

Im going to avoid it and just use the certified organic in a bag from bunnings.
