Does the ballast put out a trackable signal

Recommended Posts

Well I am amazed. Yesterday and today I tested my digital ballasts with radio signals. I am currently using lumetek 600w ballasts and found that no matter what order I turn them on as in a ballasts are the same, once I turn on the 3rd one it interferes with the am radio signal. For whatever reason it does not seem to effect the fm signal but makes the am signal distorted, fuzzy and nearly in audiable. I found it strange that it happens the instant I use 3 ballasts at once and then reverts back to a normal radio signal as soon as I turn them off.

No drama serrated it was definatly interesting. Yep we moved the radio around the garage which is where the grow is and has interfere throughout, but then we unplugged it and took it into the house and it had the same amount of interference. I have been doing some reading since and learned that there may be an exposed wire somewhere near the ballasts as in an old tv Antana port or similar that apparently assists the process, not that I understand why that is not can find one. Any way it's interesting hope the people next door are not big am radio fans
