How can i get rid of fungas gnats .

Recommended Posts

Just wondering, i hear they dont like country music, something about the dry dirt and soil underneath the feet of aussies who actually enjoy that shit and something something neem oil something. But you could still sing them some shannon noll anyway. Actually, put on a wig and sunglasses and record it, i'd watch it ! :)

good luck mate, a bit tongue and cheek but the solution is what you seek. Next time apply diatomaceous earth to your soil mix, its a common pest treatment..

Well iv tested the ph level at the base in the overflow and its way to high . Its at 7.4 . I keep my ph levels at 5.8 in the feed but my potting mix iv used must be high in ph is that right ????? And what can i do pls ????? Is this also a contribution to me leaves yellowing like burning the plant or something... ????

I believe potting mix is classed as a soil when it comes to ph. So i think your ph should be at around 6.5 .

If your not using the nutes all in one go then recheck the ph each time you use it . As ph can often change

To really flush out all the high ph you have .id give them a watering at 5.8 and leave for a bit so all dry parts of the pot are soaked

Half hour later give each pot a good flush out with plenty of run off . Flush two or three times while checking the ph

Of the run off. Hopefully it should balance the ph , if the run off goes down to 5.8 I'd leave it . As it might rise up a little .

When it's due for next feed recheck it all and adjust accordingly. But I think your ideal ph is 6.5 whereas DWC or perlite likes 5.8

Every time you feed - Allow the medium to get well and truly soaked ....no dry areas inside the pot. And make sure you get runoff

Could be crap potting mix too ?

Hope it comes good for you .

This stuff is amazing. Kills off infestations fast and organically!!! Pricey though its worth it to have ZERO fungus gnats. I like to use from the get go with any new medium introduced into the grow room. It kills gnats and the life cycle of their larve. I treat any new medium for the first 2 weeks of use and keep an eye out. Then once every 4 weeks just to make sure nothing has gotten in. Lollypopping and a good clear under canopy is a must. $70 a litre though use it sparingly and it goes far.
