Strains For Back Pain

OldManDallas

Question

Howdy all

I suffer from severe back pain partly due to an accident i had a few years ago resulting in 1 crushed and 3 fractured vertebra and in the past year it has become worse and worse. In the beginning they had me on so many different pain tablets and i was even going in and having injections straight into my lower back to try to relive the pain, worked for a little while but now has little to no affect what so ever :(

I have tried a few strains like Mazar, Deisel, WW to name a few with good results but im on the hunt for the "Perfect Strain" for back pain.

So i would like to hear from other peoples experiences and what they might recommend for this kind of pain..

Cheers.

Hey Dallas. I have a few back issues including arthritis, scoliosi, vertebrae calcification and degenerative disc disease that sometimes flares into nerve pain. as for arthritis amd scoliosis, I have found that it doesn't matter what strain, as long as i keep the general cannabinoid levels up it doesn't bother me. for the nerve and muscle pain associated with my discs and vertebrae I like indicas. The best so far being hindu kush, but really amy indica or indi dom x works well for me..

All the best and so sorry to hear of the many issues you have faced recently.

"The scheme is being implemented to provide adults with terminal illness and their carers with greater peace of mind. In line with the existing situation, sourcing cannabis is a matter for adults with a terminal illness and their carers."

That to my uneducated eyes says grow to me?

It says the black market is pretty much your only option of supply but it falls short of any concrete protection from prosecution for any carer or patient growers under the current laws. You can still be charged for growing.

As I said earlier...

This scheme is not legal medical cannabis and no you can not legally grow under it. It is just a guide for police in NSW to use when deciding if they wish to charge patients for possession not growing. It is unlikely they would charge a patient for possessing the small amounts outlined in the scheme but if they choose to they still can even if you are registered on this scheme. When it comes to larger amounts or cultivation, there have been a number of patients and careers who have been charged with cultivation and/or supply despite registering on this scheme.

Thanks Ford, much appreciated mate. It has been a hard few years but such is life i guess. Just go to keep my chin up and just power along the best i can.

I was looking at some Kush last night and i have been reading a lot of good things about that strain re pain, might be another one to put on the plate.

My wish list of seeds is getting very long, might have to send my list to Santa to see what he can do lol

OMD.

Not going to put names and details on a public forum but personally I know 2 people who have been charged and found guilty of cultivation despite being registered on this scheme (one as a patient the other as a carer) and I have heard of a few others. As I said it covers possession only not cultivation and it isn't even a concrete cover for possession it is just a guide if police want to follow it and exercise discretion to not charge you. But they still can if they so choose.

This scheme is better than nothing for sure but it is far from being the license to grow that you seem to think it is.
