Strains For Back Pain

OldManDallas

Question

Howdy all

I suffer from severe back pain partly due to an accident i had a few years ago resulting in 1 crushed and 3 fractured vertebra and in the past year it has become worse and worse. In the beginning they had me on so many different pain tablets and i was even going in and having injections straight into my lower back to try to relive the pain, worked for a little while but now has little to no affect what so ever :(

I have tried a few strains like Mazar, Deisel, WW to name a few with good results but im on the hunt for the "Perfect Strain" for back pain.

So i would like to hear from other peoples experiences and what they might recommend for this kind of pain..

Cheers.

For me the best are the Afghanica's and Kush's (true Kush rather than hybrids named kush for marketing), but I'm yet to find a strain that truly knocks the pain completely.  At best those will enable me to ignore it's existence for a while if I can get comfortable.  Generally sativa's don't work well for me with pain relief, but I recently grew a Malawi which does a surprisingly good job on it, so it can be worth looking into sati's.  If you find anything magical, make sure you let us all know.

Thought I was done with buying seeds, but thanks to Ozzy I'm now wanting to look for Green Python beans.

Hey Sir thanks for that mate. Yer i have been trying mostly Indica strains but as you said it might be good to try a few Sativa strains instead, might work for me a little better

Have had positive feed back re Northern Lights

I'm no expert on pain but I'm on the search for a good strain for my wife.

We tried some GG allin from sss, from my experience it took my niggles away and made my dodgy joints feel sort of numb/aerated.

The wife went a little to hard to quick and greened herself out abit so she got a good afternoon nap out of it. She hasn't been to keen to try again. Prompting me to figure out some edible/tea concoctions that we will play with after harvest time.

One lady that has had some green python oil who suffers badly from MS had a smoke and for the 1st time in over 2 years her daughter was telling she was able to leave the house because it cut through the pain enough for to be able to move with out screaming in pain.

The daughter has it as well and she swears by it.

It sux that it has to b illegal when it dose so much good for ppl and they make crims of ppl just trying to live a normal life like me.

Soz i on me soap box here and gettin a lil off topic soz Dallas...

All good mate na this is exactly what i want to hear, other peoples personal experiences and what works for them.

It is so wrong that people like us with chronic pain might be prosecuted for trying to live a pain free productive life. Who wants to take 10 pills a day for pain that ends up seriously hurting your liver and ends up making things worse. Makes me angry that the powers to be know exactly how much cannabis helps with pain but still wont legalize it  :wallbash:

Thank you Ozzy.

My oldest daughter passed away a few months back, she had severe Pancreatitis and was given all kinds of pain tablets for the pain. She ended up getting addicted to them and was taking that many a day that in the end it killed her. I got her into rehab for 3 months but when she got out she just went straight back on to them. I tried so hard to help her but i failed in the end...

Went around one morning to see her and knocked on the door and i had no answer but her dog was barking inside the house and i knew something was not right so i kicked in the door and walked into her room only to find her in her bed dead. i gave her 20 mins of CPR until the ambos arrived, i thought i might be able to bring her back but still nothing could be done.

Turns out it was a massive heart attack due to her heart being so weak due to abusing pain pills..

Anyways sorry for the rant.
