Bootlace Garden of mystery .... or .... other stuff I am growing

Recommended Posts

its nice but a lot of work,

currently building metal trellis's to grow beans and chokos and stuff on and hide certain secret herbs behind.

the heat isnt making it easy.

yeah maybe Ill try the grafting, but might have to be next season.

interested to watch what you might do

I don't know if i will get the time to show any detail this time around, but here is my original post on the subject with some tips on how to do it. https://cannabis.community.forums.ozstoners.com/topic/75180-lets-do-grafting/

Thanks Ford, ill have a look :)

OK, a few pics,

vege patch one, I let it get VERY out of hand over winter, then went away for a while and it was chaos, but slowly im taking control.

I let the parsley have a death match with weeds, parsley mostly won.

Its all going to seed, its as tall as I am (6'1") so I imagine after all this has seeded Ill have more parsley than an italian village.

I let everything go to seed, so also in here is rocket, silverbeet, land cress (like water cress, but..... grows on LAND!)

I am building these metal trellis for beans and chokos and to provide a bit of shade, and some cover from spying neighbours.

Looking a bit worse for wear after going away and HOT weather and no water, but it will come good.

oh yeah, I only took pics of the main edible areas, the MAJORITY of the garden is trees and bushes, from daisies and roses (though some of the roses are 15+ foot tall wild monster things)  to camellias and GIANT DATE PALMS, and everything in between.

old owner seemed to have no focus on type of plants, its all mixed up with anything that took his fancy

thanks for the photos!  I see the damage WA sun can do --- and that hot air off the desert.  we're returning to WA for a family do soon.  haven't been there since 1988. driving so hope it's not to hot. have a Sister up in the hills (knob hill!  mahogany creek.) we will go to visit.  I 'll think of you when we're there ... and thank goodness someone in those parts grows/smokes dope!

yeah it gets hot, and dry, I grew up down south and never have gotten used to the weather here.

just had retic guy here and back again friday, should make a great improvement, especially the fruit trees which have been very dry.

Everything will be covered, except vege patch #1 which i will continue to hand water.

then finally I can make a more permanent place for the IMPORTANT plants to live.

great garden Harry  :good:

glad to see your not one of those anal people who must have everything neat and tidy.

a garden is a place to have fun with plants not a torture chamber for the OCD community.

just a question. that guerrilla patch. does it get all day sun? the more sun the bigger the yield.

i used to grow at least one weed plant in the middle of the tomatoes.

full sun and lots of the right feed.

staked up like its neighbours and knocked about a bit and it blends in very well.

it always gave the biggest yields.
