Airpots

all they do is give the fungus gnats more places to get in and eat your roots.

i think its a lot of bullshit

i have

6 x 6 litre airpots

and

3 x 10 litre airpots

the 10 litre pots are useless. their too wide and shallow to allow the roots to dive deep. ie wrong shape for good growing.

the 6 litre are too small for a normal grow and you run out nutes in the soil and have to hand feed for 6 to 8 weeks, which is a pain.

the principle of bigger pots, bigger yields still holds true and these type of pots make no difference to that principle.

they are designed to stop the roots winding around the pots which they do and thats good if your going to repot but thats all their good for.

so the smaller ones are OK as a starter pot but not for a final pot as the big ones are the wrong shape.

i haven't seen any difference from using them.

I'm currently using them in an auto grow so this is from my experience.

for my next crop, which i've just started, i've gone back to the standard Bunnings, black plastic pots for a few $'s a pot.

i have changed my mind. i want to say that the pots i'm referring to came from a discount hydro shop on ebay.

i've checked through the pots on our sponsors web site and have to admit my criticism of their pots would be unfair.

the pots at Lux are the original airpots and have a proper proportion between height and diameter.

the only pot that i thought was unbalanced in shape was their 38 litre pot which is shorter by 3.5 inchs than their 20 litre pot?

so apologies, its just the Airpots from discount hydro that i have problems with.
