Medical Cannabis W.A.

Dingo-2008

Question

I had my 6 monthly appointment with my eye specialist yesterday an asked him if he would put a application in to the T,G,A, & the Medicines & Poisons Regulation  Branch requesting Cannabis C,B,D, Tincture an Cannabis or Hash oil to help me control my glaucoma & chronic pain caused by my many illnesses.

1/Chronic pain from 5 lower back Disc prolapse.

2/ 3 forms of Arthiritis.

1/Seronegative Arthritis.

2/Rheumatoid Arthritis.

3/Osteoarthritis.

4/Advanced Glaucoma in both eyes.

5/ Chronic Migraines from Calcified/Haemorhageic Lesion of the right hand frontal lobe of my Brain.

6/ Lumber disc degeneration Multi level.

7/Neurogenic pain.

8/Sciatica in both sides of my lower back an legs.

My doctor is cool about me using cannabis in any form to he me with my couple of illnesses.

He even told me a few of his mate use it  for medical  reasons lol

So hopefully in a few months time I will have my scripts for medical Cannabis.

Wish all doctors were as switched on about medical cannabis as this doctor is.

Plus I am going to ask my pain management specialist to apply for medical cannabis for me as well so the powers to be will not be able to tell me to piss off down the road sucker an just shut up an go die a painful  death.

Screw them assholes that think like that an don't have a open mind towards medical cannabis.

All the best to all of you crew.

Regards Dingo-2008.

Oh shit Ding, not good. I can empathise 100%, as you well know.

As for your MRI's, how many scans (CT and MRI) have you had in the last 12mths? And how many with contrast?

There has been questions being asked in the U.S. about long term exposure to the scans and a separate issue being raised about the crap(usually gadolinium chelate)in the contrasts they use as well. Until recently the contrast was considered 'safe', but it seems it ain't as safe as they once thought. The dr's may be a bit more cautious about ordering them or ordering too many.

Best of luck on the canna front too, Christ knows I haven't had any joy, well not with specialists anyway. The GP says "If it works, use it" but the specialists are all of the line "it's not approved". My only advise would be to get as much data as you can find to back yourself up. Anecdotal evidence ain't enough. Some sort of trial/study conducted by a professor with the alphabet after his name. There have certainly been studies completed on pain management and canna, that may well be a good place to start researching. If you can find a study relating to your condition, even better.

You keep fighting old fella and thanks for keeping us informed.

Somethings I just found regarding Chronic pain, it maybe useful for you Dingo.

https://www.medicaljane.com/2016/12/02/new-york-to-allow-medical-marijuana-to-treat-chronic-pain/

Also found this... Quote: "...Of cannabis's cannabinoid extracts, CBD is second in concentration only to THC, ranging ... benefits against metabolic plaque formation (calcification) and even cancer. ... Activation of CB1 by THC provides neuro-protection after a brain injury..." https://www.davidwolfe.com/invasion-of-the-cannabinoids/

Have a look, might be worth it.
