fan carbon filter set up

setting up my new tent 1m square 2m high with the carbon filter 6" the inlet fan is a 4" inch which thinking about buying combo is this fan set up good i was reading about negative pressure inside tent will this combo be enough or do i go to 6" for both inlet and outlet thanks boarderliner

I had a couple of years back. Outlet only, vented outside the tent and then to a window. The back pressure was plenty with a 300mm fan. Didn't run an I let fan, just opened all the inlets. Still sucked tent in

I'm running an 8" filter and 6" inlet but my tent is twice the size and it still tried to see if it could fit the tent inside the filter... 

 

so I did what a friend suggested and covered the top half of my filter with cling wrap (saran wrap I think its called too) you know the stuff you wrap your lunch in.

 

This reduced the air flow into the filter and stopped most of the tent pull (still a little but I like that as that means NO chance of smell leaking into room.)

 

The added benefit is that only the bottom half of the filter got used the first 18 months and when I started to smell it outside a little I just took it off the top and placed it on the bottom half and had like a new filter.
