To tie down and screen or not ?

Recommended Posts

This I just did , took less than ten minutes, no bending down , no fucking around with tie wires

I put 18 bends in , but will check a couple of times in the next hour as they often try to straighten themselves up

A couple of cracked stems and a touch of sap on my fingers but that will help make strong knuckles

I find it helps to give a good twist both ways before softening the stem seems to speed the process uppost-57984-0-42939100-1474463515_thumb.jpegpost-57984-0-28388100-1474463554_thumb.jpeg

Hitting 12/12 very soon .its harder doing the main stem as it's much thicker and cracks easier than side branches ,but where it's softer at the top ,it can be bent just go easier than you would on a normal branch

I didn't make multiple bends to same branches but as time goes by I may redo a branch but it would be in the newer growth further up the stem

I recommend having some tape handy the first couple of times you do it just in case you snap a branch

Last crop I snapped the main stem 2/3 through about 5 cm below where I'd fimmed it ,taped it up and stuck a stick into the medium As a support for the stem to rest on. Plant was happy

But for the main stem its probably safer to LST it

The super crop bend will form a knuckle and turn brownish and woody

And can be done in head As long as you got the space on the stem to get in and work on it

multiple bends on the same stem can be done But it would be best to let each bend harden up a bit before the next

If I were in your situation Billy, I'd put a few of those girls outside ..

very tempted mate, but i don't wanna waste my time putting a male plant in... I have some clones of each that will hopefully root, that being the case, they will end up outside in the next month after a bit of an indoor start..
