70w HPS Mini

I saw a grow on here from sweet seeds that used a 70w HPS in a tiny box and wanted to track down something similar.

 

does anyone know where you can get these? I've dug up a a web page that sells ballasts and ballast kits but they are in america

this would be perfect for smaller 1 plant stealth grows, like what I do.

For what it's worth, mate. I have a 150w hood with built in ballast etc.. that's has interchangeable bulbs of either Metal Halide or High Pressure Sodium. And to be honest, it hardly generates enough light to grow anything in a 1 cubic foot space (30cm²). So I'd dare not care to think how poor the footprint would be with a 70w.

Hell I use 96w of combined CFL to grow buds, 70w of HPS in a small space like mine would be awesome.

Also the question beckons,  where did you get your 150w from Indycar? within aust?

Yeah, damn near 20 years ago. And I guess they be pretty hard to source now as well, as I did a reasonably decent search for the light and parts not so long ago and all I could turn up were the Metal Halide bulbs for them.

 

All I ever managed to do with it is keep a mother plant alive and strike a few clones in a clone dome occasionally with it. It does have a brand name on it so next time I got it out of the box I'll get the details for you. as it may help you track down something within Oz.

I have done a grow with a 150w hps, there is a diary on the boards some where.

 

Not sure with the 70w but the 150w hps easy to get they are used for shop lighting.

 

For a small stealth the 150w will do the job.

 

The size of the area i used was an old robe cut in half width ways roughly, with a lil bit planning it can b done and do nicely as well...
