Hey all anyone have one of these & how you find it ?

 

Has some pretty impressive testing features, not sure how accurate etc it is but quotes to ie, 62.15%

 

Work out to around $1300

It's a pretty cool gimmick but it holds no real value to me

it is probably good for benchmarking and comparisons as a rough scale of potency..... i have seen remo test a unit youtube.com/user/urbanremo and it does appear to be useful though ....

Mmm, OK thanks all, doesn't sound that convincing, but hey dont think theres anything else on the market similar unless you want to spend a lot more than $1300 ?

i think if you really want to know all that stuff its probably the way to go. especially over here in aus where options are limited.

 

before i dropped the coin though i would consider just what you would do with the information. is it worth it?

 

my current system of smoke it and see what i like works pretty darn well

I dont have one but have seen one used it was used to test my green python at mg.

 

From what i under stand there is a 20% margin each way.

There are these test kits u can get in AU but they more a rough guide of THC, CBD content.

looks like those just tell you whether or not there is thc present. i dont think they give you a thc%

You use a colour chart to get an idea of the thc content.. those kits are packaged nicely and work well, and the guy who sells them in Australia is a nice bloke, but work out very expensive if you want to run multiple samples, which you have to do to get a real representation of your crops average thc content. You can get a proper lab grade thin layer chromatography kit from tlc lab supplies that is just as accurate as hplc, and gives a more diverse cannabinoid profile. That's some pretty cool info, didn't realise they showed terpene's as well.

 

But unless you are doing some pretty serious stuff to do with specific medicines or breeding for specific levels, I just don't see what use the info is aside from being nice to know.

 

At the end of the day FIWH's suck it and see approach makes more sense from a personal usage perspective, medicinal or recreational, as the varying interactions between all the cannabinoids and terpenes is too complex to predict from raw numbers, and individuals reactions vary as well.  Not to mention it's a prime excuse for a toke

 

Having said that, drop the price to $130 and I'd snap one up.
