OIL WONT SOLIDIFY

Recommended Posts

Great thanks, drew it up in syringes, so not sure the alcohol would evaporate in those ?

Ended up mixing some organic coconut oil with it which kept it runny & much easier to draw up in the syringes. Wish had of known that first

Train wreck, when you say "I soak overnight and then process it, just needs fitlering, purifying a little more" Whats involved in purifying it more ?

I washed the the buds, but few people have suggested putting it through a coffee grinder extracts more oil ?

Out of curiosity, where do you purchase 99% alcohol containing 1% essential oils ?

If your oil is still very runny, it must contain moisture that was stripped from the plant material or the ethanol contains far more than 1% essential oils.

I doubt that you will be able to remove the essential oils, they will blend with the canna oil, making it runnier than normal

I usually get around 5ml/ounce after processing, that can vary depending on plant material used though

It wont hurt to wash a few times.

I soak overnight and then process it, just needs fitlering, purifying a little more

You can buy it from most hydro shops.

With coconut oil? I don't want a bong but thanks anyway ! I found the colder it was the harder to push out the syringe, but I guess you've got it in the fridge to keep fresh . The last lot I made was just left with some foil around the top of the syringe resting in a bowl ,in summer, after about six weeks it had melted or something but somehow the foil ended up with most of what was left in the syringe ,there wasn't much to begin with though. I've read you can use acetone as long as you evaporate it off. At first I was shocked cos I use that shit at work, but then I read that our bodies produce acetone ,so if there are traces of it left over in the oil our bodies already know how to deal with it ,personally I haven't used it though .

Hi yes 99% pure ethanol, rest says "essential oil of camomile & almond, both > 1%"

So you saying it needs to be heated longer to evaporate the last of the alcohol/water of it ? Read so long as you dont go over 290 deg F, its OK ?

Any ideas how much you should be left with from 3 ounces ? Obviously just paranoid about going to far & boiling off any of the oil

Also it says to only go through the washing process at the start twice & then "80% of the THC is washed off". Is there any harm & repeating the extraction process again, obviously want to extract every last ml ? If it evaporates to nothing, wouldn’t it just mean theres no oil left in the mix ?

Whats BHO ISO ?

Hi topia, I have just made some this morning and got 6ml of viscus thick oil from 40gm, I make a lot of oil and as a rule get about 4ml some times 5ml per ounce, never ever more than 5ml and that is rare. I would think from 3 ounces of good heads you should get about 12 ml of oil or even 9 or 10ml either way I would think from my experience between 9 and 12ml from 3 ounces. Hope this helps. Some times depending what solvent one uses not all of the added solvent boils off and can leave more thinner end product. I have found using 100% ISO always brings good results. Hope this helps
