seaweed extract

Recommended Posts

I add once a week actually, never heard of anyone else doing it, but I'm a keen gardner, of all species, and after saving several plants of other sorts that I thought ware beyond help, I took a bit of a shine to it.

I don't reduce nutrients. In fact I add extra! The seaweed extract helps reduce plant stress eg burning, cold/heat, root rot etc, etc. The seaweed extract has its own nutrient level at about 1/3 the potency of that in your hydro nutrient, and with an NPK value aproximately in the middle of that of your average A and B hydro nutrient ( lower N higher P,K during flower),

So anyways, less stress, and the sea weed extract seems to have a high pH, in that my usual watering mix is pH 6.2, but after adding the sea weed extract at 10ml/L the pH goes up to around 7. Use pH up down to adjust. I add extra nutrient to 1.5x that on the bottle which reduces the pH to about right. But Beware!! I got many watts! you can only boost nutrient levels by adding watts! watch your E.C levels and do some research to find out whats right for your wattage and water conditions!

Just add to your normal watering at 10ml/L and pH adjust and watch E.C levels, your plants will love it!

It has many solids in it so dont use in a drip or micro spray watering system, I learnt the hard way
