Will my plants be ready

Recommended Posts

hi guys, so I will be a first time grower this coming season in Perth, and I'm looking recommendations on strains, short strains (as I'll be growing out the back yard, and strains that I can harvest by mid December as I'll be away for 4 weeks over Christmas, any help is massively appreciated

Cheers

Cheers for getting back to me guys, as a first time grower I don't really want to be getting into topping or anything that might fuck a first time grower up,, I could set up a water system in sure it wouldn't be to difficult but I live in a corner house n I'll be over the other side of the world for 4 weeks I'd rather have them out n dried and curing while I'm away,, looks like autos for my first grow, with a second batch started in January

What short strains would you recommend Louise

What I meant by short plants in GBG's thread was that I grow in pots these days... not in open ground and I am unfamiliar with your climate and latitude so it would be better if you sort recommendations from growers more familiar with your location.

like Lu i don't know your climate ect  & speak to your locals but auto's aren't the only way in my neck of the woods

look in to light deprivation & multiple harvests are pos all way though summer

induce flowering at the end of oct on a 8wk strain & harvest end of dec outdoors

with planing you could be harvesting end of dec end of jan end of feb ect

& is a great way to get some of those long sativa strains finished early B4 change in weather

in fact it's a great way to get lots of strains finished B4 change in weather & bud rot town comes to play

Wow Itchy that's really interesting.....worth the effort in your opinion?

def worth the effort , i did it this last outdoor season

the cool thing is you have buds finishing in the peak of summer sun

so the finished plant is very very nice & can dry very quickly at that

time of year so need to be careful you don't go over 27c drying temp

the other downside is you have to be there everyday to move the plants

in & out or cover & uncover no exceptions

Thanks itchy will definitely look into it, for my first grow I think I'm gona keep it as straight forward as possible, can you recommend any strains for a first time grower

KIS is def a good way to go ,

look at more indica strains they tend to be more forgiving than sativas in the grow department

but like everything that statement is not always true for a indica dom plant
