Where do you start?

Winniemulch

Question

Hi Everyone,

I'm not sure if I am allowed to post here, so my apologies if this is against the rules.

I wanted to start this thread, for some advice on where to get started.

I suffer from chronic pain from a failed back operation, and have spent the past few years, with the past 6 months more actively looking into cannabis oil for pain.

I can find recipes and tips, I can buy seeds of the Internet, I can watch clips with how to grow, how to make, etc etc

None of this has actively gotten me to the point of having a regular supply of cannabis oil.

I can't cook to save myself, and I honestly can't grasp the concept of making it.

I have researched strains, then types of oils, and it's not something I can do. Not only because I have no faith in my abilities but also because my partner has kids and doesn't want that happening around the house.

I have tried craigslist, wickr, Facebook. How do you connect with people when it's almost like an entirely different world? None of the people I know do drugs of any kind, I can't even get a name for someone local.

Random scammers message me, I have given my address out to ransoms and no one has shown up, people think I'm a cop because I ask so many questions but I don't have a clue what I'm doing.

If you exist in a world outside all of this, how can you get in. How do you get a key?

I have tried some sites online, one well known one discussed in the thread at the top. I can't even tell you how much money I have spent with only once ever getting a product. And it works. For the first time in about 8 years I was pain free. It was like a dream. And then I couldn't get it again. I could cry, I spend many nights awake in pain searching all sorts of sites for a clue, what is it that I'm not understanding?

I once got in an email chain that was supposedly with a group of people sympathetic to people who need to use the oil for medicinal purposes. And they said all I had to do was pay costs, because it's not for profit. And I couldn't go through with it.

How could I? These amazing people were willing to take a risk that I'm not, to grow and produce the oil and give it to me to improve my life. I don't have cancer, and I don't have kids who suffer from seizures or severe medical problems.

My pain is severe but there are people worse than me, I can't take from someone what could go to someone in need. I see the posts everywhere about 'companies' that charge for it, and it's almost like they are completely wrong for daring to expect something in return

i work. Some weeks less than others but I still go and somehow I still keep my job. My whole world is surrounded by people who are law abiding teetotallers, some who work in law enforcement. I fee like I should pay, that if someone needs to profit from my problem that's ok, I already pay out a fortune for it, physio, neurosurgeon, pain specialists, and the chemist wow they even send me Xmas cards. If all these people can profit why can't someone who is taking a risk?

I'm rambling now.

My main question is where do you start when you don't even know where the door is?

Cheers

It's not what you're going to want to hear, but pretty much growing your own is the only viable option in this country unless you are lucky enough to find a steady supply of quality weed on the black market, which is borderline impossible now that organised crime has basically dominated the market with extremely unhealthy, poor quality, immature cannabis.

I can understand your partners concerns, but you need to speak to him/her about your situation and needs, and find a compromise.

It's not a complete guarantee of safety on the legal front regarding kids being in the house, but basically if you set up your grow in an outbuilding which is inaccessable to the children (securely locked) it goes a long way as they have no access, and potential endangerment from fire etc is mitigated by being in a disconnected structure.  That's one of the reasons I initially set up in a garden shed.  Also means that you can claim your partner had no knowledge of your activities so long as they maintain the ruse.  Don't know if that's an option for you, but it's an idea.

As for making oil, quick wash isopropyl alcohol oil is about the simplest one, there's tutorials on this site.  I use a slow cooker filled with water with a stainless steel bowl floating in it to evaporate the alcohol off, again outside the house in a ventilated area, pretty safe and simple.  But you don't really have to use oil for pain relief, plain old buds will do it, hash is a little better again for body pain and it doesn't require any cooking to make, again hash tutes are on the site.  I mostly vaporise hash myself, but another good medicinal alternative is to make infused coconut oil capsules, there's tutes here for that as well, but I do it differently in that I make mine using hash and don't bother filtering it out.

In other words you don't need to be focussed on oils.  Have a chat to your partner, and if you get started there's plenty of info and help available here.  Best of luck
