Split trunk

Recommended Posts

I have seen worse mate, don't panic.

Just chucking the shits at ya. lol

Support it up a bit higher with something softer as the cable tie will bite into it.

Give her a lil extra iron and a bit of nitrogen and she will come good.

I use cyco dr repair if they chuck shits like that.

May of damaged the way it uptakes but that dont look too bad.

If you start getting dry weak wood below the wound.... then worry. :-D

Might want to just give her a lil pk seen as she us starting to bud up nicely.

Seen as she has weakish branches I would suggest you support them with stakes and use twine.... no more cable ties.

As they bud... more weight..... you don't want more breaks.

Enjoy. Nibs.

As far as the fruit veg & dairy top dress , that's not a good idea , much better composting first then top dressing the compost

asking for trouble if you ask me

As things break down different microbes take hold & die or get killed off as the break down & moves along it's path

so at diff points in time you can have the bad microbes running round before the good guys out compete , which they

do every time so let that happen in a bin & use barley straw as a top dress & feed for microbes

your problem might be from the 1st cable tie you used a little lower down from the currant tie , can you take a pic from the other side of the 1st cable tie you used

little black dots on lower leaves , most likely dirt but shots blurred , you'd be much better off top dressing with worm castings than using liquid potash

Ok cool i will cut the cable tie off today and cut up an old shirt or something to tie it up, and i was going to stake up the other branches and stop putting the scraps on top. The little black dots are from the birds eating the mulberries hanging over our fence and shitting everywhere...thx everyone who took the time to help me and i will update in a few weeks so we can see what happens. Cheers.

your plant looks quite healthy

the yellowing leaves that i see, look to be normal die-off, it happens to all most plants

Might be time to up the nutrients ?

and do as Hash Nibler said.. stalk it up,

your buds are still small they will get bigger and they will bend the branches

if not stalked you may split the trunk again/break branches.

re the fruit

get it off your plant, it's not a compost heap :) ...

rotting fruit = fruit fly's and other bugs - you are setting up a banquet for bugs there with that fruit
