How important are the leaves in the flowering stage?

Have a few caterpillars eating the bigger ones, and some lower ones are turning yellow and falling off

It is normal for leaves to yellow and fall off as the plant matures, starting from the lower shade leaves.

 

The caterpillars are not good, their droppings can cause mould/rot in your buds.

kill those caterpillars fast

you may need to invest in some SAFE bug spray

they reproduce like crazy and will eat the buds 

they can and will kill your entire crop over night

someone mentioned Dipel in another post recently, do a search.....

Despite the advice on here, I've been a slack-arse - just been observing them and hoping they'll go away by themselves

I sorta thought I could just pull the dead buds off and that would suffice.
