nothings happening

i started my first grow from seeds about 3 days ago by planting 6 seeds in ordinary potting mix and put them outside but nothings happened yet. Should something have happened by now?? if not how long do seeds usually take 2 start growing proply?

Seeds can take from one day to 2 weeks to pop, mostly dependent on temps but also somwhat dependent on how deep they're planted and what media.

 

So yeah, wait a bit longer, they could certainly still pop up. How deep did you plant them?

i planted them about 2.5-3 cm deep. Also the place theyre in is a little shady due to haveing to hide them from neighbours will that make any difference?

Yes. Next time you may want to sow a little higher in normal potting mix, although 2-3cm is certainly within their normal range.

 

You want the pot to be warmed by the sun, so make sure you put it out into an area where it receives plenty of light and warmth. The ideal soil temps for germination are around 20-25, so try and keep it sunny, particularly at this time of year.

Also remember, the neighbors can wonder what's in a pot with nothing growing in it. Until they get out of the ground it's just a pot full of dirt. You might want to take them inside at night too if it's still chilly where you are, just make sure you are up early enough to put them out for the first rays.

 

A few of the short round type pine trees or similar thick and bushy plants around the edge of your yard can increase your privacy too.

honestly if u have to hide a pot of soil whats this world come to

 

oh and if u have to hide ur plants in the shade even b4 they have sprouted, dont expect a harvest unless u move them to a far away place or buy urself a hyge light
