Awesome brick and really cool to see your grow happening!  I hear you with the 'mixed bag' seeds I have a pack of mns 'walkabout' I'm itching to plant :D  It must be so cool to grow a big plant after the 'burbs and their privacy issues...I live regional but still have 5 storeys across the road and two story units on the other side of my place. shit-tonne of bamboo and my rapidly growing poincianas and tamarind trees will take care of that in a year or so..I hope.

Wonderful news about dipping the toe into the 'dating' game again man.  I know it must seem really weird.  She sounds very nice...spesh the physio! lol

Re the little multicultural shops/eateries and suchlike, they are pretty much the only things I miss about not living in the city.  I used to love the little places in Perth back when I first lobbed in Ausralia.  Just walk into a deli and they would whip ya up a sub like no other slice all the gear as you wanted it and had their own bread and stuff....just like the kebab shops did   So friendly too...Its one of the things I love about Australia is the vast array of different cultures..woolies and coles just don't cut it.  Or subway lol  So its make yer own in the vinno place these days.

All the best for the grow and your new 'acquaintance' brick ;)   You deserve it brother.  Nice rubdown after the perfect wave...can't get much better than that :D

Ha ha. Thanks itchy. She is also a physiotherapist just what I need at my age. Yeah the prick that ran that cake shop gave me the short shift when I started up my refrigeration business back in 86 I went around to all the small shops in Coburg trying to pick up work. He said my rates were too high. Which they were anything but! One hot summer Friday night a few years later, when the weddings were happening, I got a call at about 10pm his son was asking me to come and fix the big refrig with all the cakes in it, I said politely no thanks you father said I charge too much. A big up yours made my year. He is a good pastry chef though. The Kebab Station is what I miss the most. That and Curly Joes in Brunswick which has long gone. Nah I am sure the woman will be ok, just gotta get over the courting nerves. lol And the deli in O'Heas St down in Pacco.

I know who your talking about , i think he is long gone or just not involved anymore , his sons bake & run it now i think

his wife might still be there maybe

Kebab station still there on the corner as you walk in to coles entry , i'm there weekly , not the KS

Curly joe's was the local hang out in high school , wasn't called curly joe's back then, il panino's it was , cnr of Phoenix st

with Bomb Bay Rock on the other crn , another hangout when young & stupid

good luck mate ,

Breath brother she's cool !

Yeah the rub down would be a nice end to a good days surf topped off with a good scoob and good food. I do love the country life though. 200 meters to nearest neighbour, who I give a few seedlings to grow every season, we usually get one decent plant from him which I use to cook up brownies for his glaucoma but I have to keep his stash here as his mrs would go ballistic if found. He is 75 and a good gardener. Just loving where I live and the easy laid back life style as compared to running a business in the burbs with all the stresses associated.
