Picture of plant.

The pictured plant is from the SSS all stars mixed bag. I think it is Nanan Bouclou. It is still stretching. I germinated 8 seeds from the mix. 3 were hermies. 3 were in 50 ltr pots outside and went straight into flower and were infested with caterpillars, they were shitting and pissing all over the plants and with the wet humid weather ended up with mould. Saved a few buds but mostly ruined. Thats life outdoors. The pictured plant is not far away from 3 meters tall and no sign of flowering yet. I have a smaller version in a different spot that is still stretching as well. Medium in garden bed is used canna terra potting mix from last season, worm castings and light soil, layer of pea straw and topped off with mushroom compost. No nutrients have been used except for three heavy waterings of tap water and liquid urea (compliments of a cousin). Ratio of 1 litre to ten of water. I am hoping it will be flowering when the rain has gone so the chance of mould is less. And the chopper doesn't see it!

Hi brick. I'm running the same soil blend as you only difference I added sheep manure as well but no urea :) gotta love big plants ! Wish I had the room to let em grow freely like you :) my dream is to buy some land in the near future and grow SoCal style. Best of luck with your harvest :)

Cheers Greenstar. My first big plant I have not had to LST. I am pretty sure the urea has helped a lot. Always wanted to grow and least one unleashed monster. Now off the bucket list. Next will be to catch that perfect wave. If the sharks would piss off it may be possible one day.

Love the country, cant get any apartments built beside me now. Not like when I lived in Coburg Vic. lol.

no change in coburg / brunswick & my pascoe vale not much diff , there closing in , quickly

how long in coburg , been in brunswick most my life now in pascoe vale

My wife and I moved into our home in 1975. Where we lived until she died in 2006 and I stayed on until 2011. Then sold when my son left home and moved here, rural NSW. I had 5 high rise apartments (two story) go up next door just before I left Coburg. I really do miss all the multi cultural eateries and deli's. Having said that it is a small price to pay for peace. And possibly a new woman on the horizon, first date coming up soon. And the bonus is she was a bit of a hippie chick when younger. She told me magic mushies are prolific on her property.

Ha ha. Thanks itchy. She is also a physiotherapist just what I need at my age. Yeah the prick that ran that cake shop gave me the short shift when I started up my refrigeration business back in 86 I went around to all the small shops in Coburg trying to pick up work. He said my rates were too high. Which they were anything but! One hot summer Friday night a few years later, when the weddings were happening, I got a call at about 10pm his son was asking me to come and fix the big refrig with all the cakes in it, I said politely no thanks you father said I charge too much. A big up yours made my year. He is a good pastry chef though. The Kebab Station is what I miss the most. That and Curly Joes in Brunswick which has long gone. Nah I am sure the woman will be ok, just gotta get over the courting nerves. lol And the deli in O'Heas St down in Pacco.
