Hey all .. ok I've got an led dwc closet grow going and I'm feeling like I'm fighting a losing battle , my skywalker kush is 6 weeks from seed I had heat issues with temps at 35°c and res temps close to 30°c until 2 weeks ago when I purchased a chiller Wich bought res Temps down to 18°c , the clawing has been present whole grow so far I thought it was a heat issue and chiller would fix it but it hasn't then I thought nitrogen toxicity as leaves were dark green as well as clawing , did another res change 2 days ago adding some calmag as I'm using distilled water , the new growth is a lighter colour now but the clawing still remains and new growth is also clawing , could 18° be too cold ? The plant is producing new growth daily and roots are going well also , I'm at wits end with the clawing , please help

Peace

few things to consider....

whats your ph/ec at?

bring water temp to 20c may help.

do you run any mycorrhizae or trichoderma?

are you running nutrient soup straight through chiller or using cooling coil in resi.

what brand nutrient you running?

Using advanced nutrients sensi grow , ph at 6 and running nutrients thru chiller

30 degree water temps is the likely cause , I cant imagine any plant being happy in that. Dark green leaves are good, if it was nute levels you would have fried tips on the leaves.. 18 -20 degrees is good . Probably just need quite a bit of recovery time for the roots mainly.

Res Temps at 18°now I got chiller

your ppm is low... should be around 1000ppm.

you could drop your ph to 5.8 that should reduce N intake a little and bring Mag intake up to help with leaf stress.

running silica will make your plant more resistant to all things. Hot, cold, over water, under water, nutrient problems, pests.

running distilled water would usually require using some cal-mag

dont think its the problem atm for future reference. running nutrients through chiller has created nutrient lock out issues. depending on nutrient brand solids can settle in the heat exchanger of the chiller and build up over time.

what do your roots look like?
