Hey all, here's some pics of some of my latest aquisitions. Particularly fond of the Cyanicula gemmata.

As I said before, here's Caladenia longicauda ssp. calcigena

Here's the typical, Caladenia longicauda spp longicauda. AKA the white spider orchid.

Here's those two side by side. There are lots of subspecies of this plant, with 12 geographic races identified thus far, and a few more to go. Not to mention the fact that it hybridises very easily with other species of it's complex, and even with some in other genera!

 

But anyway, here's the pics of the two species next to each other...

And a couple more, this is another plant, probably Caladenia longicauda ssp. longicauda...

Here's another couple, this is Cyanicula gemmata, or the Blue China Orchid.

And here's a hybrid, Caladenia arenicola x Caladenia longicauda... They intergrade and readily hybridise with each other, and being variable in size and colour to some degree themselves as parents, the multitude of forms the hybrids can take is almost infinite...

 

The first picture is the Caladenia arenicola, and the second is the hybrid between arenicola and longicauda...

very nice luke,

I recently tried some iris' out the front, they have just sprouted and they are absoloutly spectacular. very purple/blue, with a bit of yellow aswell.

i found a pic of them, really beutiful
