New grower - my first plant's development (growth) very slow

Thanks Ganjatron for your comprehensive tips. Why do you think coco is simpler than soil? Don't you have to watch pH and more carefully and feed it with more food than in soil? I got the impression that soil is sort of more "forgiving" if you make (as a beginner) mistake...

I guess I find it simpler because it is haha

As long as you get a coco specific nutrient and add a little calmag every other watering and when you mix your nutes you make sure they are around 5.8-6.0 then you can't really go wrong.

All soil isn't considered equal either so it can become quite confusing at times and if you start with a bad soil it's going to give you problems the whole time. It's also slower than coco. In my experience Hydro is the quickest and soil is the slowest so coco is a happy medium.

I started out using soil and I wish someone told me to use coco sooner as I haven't looked back since.
