What do you mean by the note: "get a new globe"? Do you mean bulb? What's wrong with the existing one?

Wouldn't have been much air flow deep in the pot, black sides attracting the heat..   You can still re-pot it without touching the roots.. The whole thing roots and dirt can slide out like a cake, you don't need to do surgery.

If you don't want to repot the little one you can cut/drill/poke some holes through the side of the pot to help with air flow. Or cut the pot down to soil level

I meant get one that isn't low quality, and get one with a spectrum right for plants (factory light most likely not).

Thanks a lot for your detailed response. I posted the original query about 3 weeks ago and the situation has changed quite a lot. The plant is still very short, around 13 cm, but it has grown in width massively, the diameter is some 34 cm. So it's kind of "fat dwarf" . I don't think it's supposed to be like this, I guess I must have messed something up, maybe the pH thing. But it's my first plant so I'm learning as it goes.

 

I can't check the pH yet, I'm still waiting for my EBay delivery, pH meter, lux meter, thermostat etc...

 

Is coco medium some kind of hydroponics thing, isn't it? To be honest, for now I prefer to stick to soil because I think it's easier to manage for a beginner.

 

At first I bought 4 normal, household lights (I know, stupid idea), altogether around 5000 Lm. Then, I realised that it wasn't going to be enough and so I got (for free, obsolete stuff from a factory) some hps and mh lights. The problem is, that my grow space is really small and the heat accumulates, around 30C.

However, going by your posts, that plant is around 6 weeks old and is supposed to be an auto ?

 

Looking at the above post, that plant (if auto) is fucking impressive !

 

For your sake I hope it is, but you are gonna need a lot more room than you currently have... Suggest a tall wardrobe or something, fuck the desk off, and fix up those electrical connections. Don't change lighting cos it seems to work, but get an extraction fan to keep heat down... Put the wardrobe in the coolest part of the house...
